Alessandro Botturi had two good reasons to include Sardegna Rally Race in his program for the 2015 season. The first one is the fact of being the reigning of Bike Village World Championship Rally. The second reason is that the characteristics of the Rally and the difficult navigation that Riders meet in Sardegna are the pride of Botturi sporting evolution. For these reasons, the Giant of Lumezzane cannot miss Sardegna Rally Race. Botturi has planned a season that includes the most important Rallies: a necessary condition to develop his new Motorbike and to bring to the highest level his preparation. Plus, in the extension of Botturi’s programs that also involve his official Yamaha team, Botturi has already said that he will come together with Olivier Pain and Mickael Metge, both well-intentioned to "grow" at the “University of Navigation”.
The great challenger of the Sardegna Rally Race holder is Marc Coma, who has already won Sardegna Rally Race three times and who finished second last year. Coma will be in Sardegna with the intention to get back and to confirm the title of Cross Country Rally World Champion. The confirmation came shortly after the victory at the Dakar (the fifth, for the Catalan Champion), when Coma had defined and made official the plans for his future. Contrary to the fanciful theories after the Dakar wanting him to drive a car or even a truck, Marc Coma remains loyal to his KTM, and he will be in Sardegna in order to defend his titles.
That's it, the Great Challenges of Sardegna Rally Race 2015 will start with the competition between the two champions of the moment: Marc Coma, the World Champion and also winner of the Dakar, and Alessandro Botturi , the reigning champion of the Sardegna Rally Race. Marc Coma against Alessandro Botturi at Sardegna Rally Race. Other challenges, no less important than this one, are just waiting to be officialized.
Among the unavoidable challenges that will take place in Sardegna, there is one which concern without any distinction all Riders. The challenge of participation.
