Sardegna Rally Race 2013. Registrations are opened

After the Dakar, it’s now World Championship time. Just few Riders can afford to participate in all the the World Championship dates, but all of them are able to choose the competition that collects the greatest number of “plus. If there are many reasons why a great number of riders has chosen Sardegna Rally Race in 2012, it’s now time to settle that same choice in 2013: there will be many innovations characterizing Sardegna Rally Race 2013 edition.

Track. Let’s start from track’s development. Sardegna Rally Race 2013 edition has been studied keeping in mind the "highlights" of the history of the Rally. 1.448 total kilometers, of which 834 of Special tests. Every kilometer has been selected in order to offer the best of Sardegna’s landscape in terms of technical aspect but also and especially in terms of locations. Sardegna Rally Race will be a great competitive trip and an unforgettable global experience. A new place of departure has been fixed (the "Catalan" city of Alghero) but the arrival place remains unchanged: San Teodoro, Bike Village’s capital city.

The five stages of 2013 edition will pass through to Piscinas, Chia and Sa Itria. The great change is the doubling of the bivouacs. For the first bivouac, at the end of a long and panoramic stage on the West side of the island, the incomparable scenery of Piscinas’ dunes has been selected.. An authentic, inimitable jewel to begin. The sceneries of the vast and fascinating mining area near Iglesias will be the characterizing element of the second stage: deep into South Sardegna with arrival in the tourist zone of Chia. Third Stage: for the way back toward West it has been chosen a more scenic route closing on the beach of Arborea.

The first part of Sardegna Rally Race ends here, with the conclusion of the "Trilogy of the west" studied to give the possibility to the riders to gradually put themselves into the competitive context. In this first part, there will be two special tests each day: they will be not too long and interrupted by breathtaking transfers. It is the perfect condition for riders in order to set themselves step by step into the technical context of the Rally, to gradually approach to the great physical and competitive effort and to enjoy the whole Sardegna’s wonders.

The second, and conclusive, part of Sardegna Rally Race pushes on the accelerator. Two longer Special Tests will take place during the fourth stage, covering the path from Arborea to Sa Itria. Just one Special Leg is expected in the great end of the fifth stage (between Sa Itria and San Teodoro): with its 200 roadbook’s kilometres it will be the longest Special Leg of Sardegna Rally Race. Everybody knows that 200 kilometers in Sardegna are not a joke, but also in this case Sardegna Rally Race won't give up on rocky and uncontaminated sceneries of Sardegna inland, on panoramic tops of the Gennargentu and on the very special atmosphere of Sa itria’s bivouac.

Other good reasons. Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, who won twice (each) Sardegna Rally Race, do not renounce to the Rally of the year. Jordi Viladoms will return in order to defend the title he conquered last year, and with him all the fastest Pilots of the World: from Rodrigues to Lopez, from Casteu to Barreda. Alessandro Botturi will of course be there and with him the best Italian riders. Once again, exclusively for Sardegna Rally Race, Stephane Peterhansel and his mate Andrea Mayer will join the competition.

Together with the best pilots of the World, and to the name that has made the history of the Rallies, a lot of passion-driven experts, those that have built the record of attendance to Sardegna Rally Race: they won't give up on the only chance to ride together with the strongest Pilots of the World. This is a dream that comes true, isn’t it?

Key reasons. Bike Village continues to let Sardegna Rally Race grow, measuring its organizational goals with the dreams of Sardegna Rally Race participants. Result: five days in paradise that made SRR the most beautiful trial of the World Championship. At the same time Sardegna Rally Race is the richest competition in terms of technical and competitive contents. With its unbeatable locations and atmosphere, Bike Village Rally will be again the most accessible trial because it has the lowest costs in the entire World Championship. Established since the first edition and proposed again in the same terms, the registration fee of Sardegna Rally Race "beats" not only the other trials of the World Championship, but also the claims of other competitions lacking in the fascinating organizational structure distinguishing the proposal of Antonello Chiara and Gianrenzo Bazzu.

There are still other reasons, but who knows Sardegna Rally Race perfectly, knows why it can be considered as the center of a Rally dream season.
