First Goal: ACCOMPLISHED!

Eric Vigouroux was aware of the financial and logistical risk he was exposing himself by deciding to sign up for the Dakar 2013 right after his victory in Morocco´s Rally last October. Two and a half month was the only time available to meet all necessary conditions to be at the start of the most famous rally raid challenge of the world.
A real race against the clock started for EVR since the team was back from Morocco. Right after their arrival, mechanics dismounted the Trophy Truck to perform a complete check. While the chassis was checked in France, the engine, gear box and shock absorbers were sent to California to be rebuilt.
“The ship that ASO (the Dakar´s organizer) was planned to leave on November 23rd from Le Havre with the shipment of all European competitors. It was mandatory to finish everything up in less than a month,” explains Eric Vigouroux. “According to my estimation, there was enough time but we were not allowed to miss not even one day. Thanks to the effort of my team members in France and the US, the challenge was taken very seriously and we were able to deliver all our vehicles in Le Havre just in time!”
Concerning the budget, the essential was ensured to take the start. Nevertheless, the team will have limited resources facing factory teams, but EVR is used to it. “The challenge will be even more interesting,” says a motivated Eric Vigouroux. “We just showed that we are capable of successes with a small budget. We did it in Morocco. Our passion and determination would allow us to compensate, and that is what I like best, our “outsider” position.”

SONY will equip our Trophy Truck with mini cameras on board, with the highest technology. Thanks to Sony, we will be able to share with our fans all sensations while being in the road and all the breath taking landscapes!
TOYO TIRES has been with EVR since 2006, and the Dakar 2013 will not be the exception. They will continue to provide tires to fit a success on the most difficult terrains of the planet.
Milwaukee will be with us one more time, and will provide all portable electric tools that are essential to our assistance team, and to us, to perform “express” tire change while on the road.
